The TEMPO exhibition, celebrating Art Association Elo’s 35-year journey, brings together a diverse array of works by its members.

Currently comprising over 120 members, Art Association Elo organizes courses, art evenings, group exhibitions, and excursions aimed at fostering members' artistic activities and social engagement. The association includes talented visual art enthusiasts and masters of various techniques. Elo’s group exhibitions often feature a wide range of artistic methods: watercolors, acrylics, and oil paintings are well represented, alongside printmaking and mixed media. The membership also includes several artists who create three-dimensional works. Art Association Elo has been active in Tampere and the surrounding area since 1991 and will celebrate its 35th anniversary in August 2026.

The TEMPO exhibition at the Haihara Art Centre Stable serves as Art Association Elo’s main exhibition for 2026 and was juried by visual artist Jukka Tuominen. Tempo is a musical term denoting speed, derived from the Italian word for "time." Tempo can range from slow to fast. In visual art, tempo can be expressed in various ways—through color, form, composition, and rhythm. This exhibition will feature works that are both abstract and figurative in style and range from lighthearted to dramatic in mood.

Accessibility information:

Stable is not fully accessible. The step-free route to the building runs behind the Coffee Chamber. The threshold at the entrance is 11 cm high. The exhibition space has some echo. The upper floor is accessible only by stairs. There are two toilets in Stable; they are not accessible. The toilets can be accessed directly from the exhibition space and from outside.
