Kuninkuusravit – The Royal Races

Kuninkuusravit is Finland’s largest harness racing event and one of the country’s biggest public events. It takes place at Teivo Racetrack from 31 July to 2 August 2026 and is expected to attract around 50,000 visitors over the weekend to experience top-level racing.

At the heart of the three-day event are the Royal Races, where the best Finnhorses compete for the titles of Trotting King and Trotting Queen. The programme includes several prestigious races, culminating on Sunday in the decisive final heats where the champions are crowned.

• Friday 31 July: On Friday, the opening day begins with evening races, including the Mares’ Criterion, the Legends Race, and the traditional Finnhorse auction. The day concludes with an evening celebration featuring performances by Anssi Kela and Teleks.

• Saturday 1 August: On Saturday, the opening heats of the King and Queen competitions take place alongside races such as Pikkuprinssi and Pikkuprinsessa, the monté Finnish Championship, and the opening parade. The evening continues with a Manserock concert at Tammela Stadium in Tampere.

• Sunday 2 August: On Sunday, the programme features the Pikkukunkku and Pikkukuningatar races, followed by the final heats of the Royal Races, where the new champions are crowned.
