Welcome to the Tampere KSI & IWK Open House!
We are hosting a free cultural event open to everyone. Step in and take your time exploring Korean traditional tea and Hangul calligraphy.
Korean tea house 11:00–16:00 In the Korean tea room, you can taste authentic Korean teas and learn how Korean tea culture connects with and differs from other tea traditions. Korean tea is often caffeine-free and made from grains or fruits, and is enjoyed by people of all ages—much like drinking water in daily life. Tea tasting is available throughout the day at no cost.
Live calligraphy performance 13:00–14:00 A live calligraphy performance by our special guest, master calligrapher Han Chan Hawn, will take place from 13:00–14:00. After the performance, the master will write each visitor’s name as a small gift.
Calligraphy experience 14:00–16:00 Visitors will have an opportunity to try Hangul calligraphy themselves in a simple and fun way.
Korean tea and calligraphy are enjoyable for all ages, from children to adults, making it a welcoming experience for friends, families and individuals alike. We invite you to add something special to your Saturday with a new cultural experience from Korea.
