The release of Silja Palomäki's debut album "Talvitie" will be celebrated on April 29th at the restaurant Telakka.
Palomäki draws her inspiration from the Southern Ostrobothnian singing tradition, which dark tones reach reality and the modern world, where hopes and tragedies are one and the same. Minimal accompaniment and sensitive voice use combine to create a beautiful and touching unity. All of this can be expected from the album, which will be released in spring 2026.
The songs "Se kolmas" and "Ruusu veripunainen" have already been released as singles from the album.
The album's title Talvitie is a tribute to the tradition collector and folk singer Kerttu Talvitie (Nummijärvi, Kauhajoki 1912–1989).
