ARMAS Festival closing concert in Haihara: Ewa Kaarela Swing Band 30 years

The ARMAS festival culminates with a concert at Haihara Manor on Sunday, March 29th at 3 pm. The stage will feature the Ewa Kaarela Swing Band, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The ARMAS festival culminates with a concert at the manor house on Sunday 29 March at 3pm. The Ewa Kaarela Swing Band will be performing on the stage, celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The Ewa Kaarela Swing Band concert will feature the best of jazz standards: swinging swing and touching ballads. The band has been active for almost thirty years, has released four albums and has performed at clubs and festivals in Finland and abroad. The band has performed jazz standards as well as jazz arrangements of music by the Beatles, Toivo Kärke and Kaj Chydenius. Polish-born Ewa's skillful, emotional and temperamental performance is supported by a group of experienced professional musicians from the Tampere region.
Ewa Kaarela: vocals; Saku Järvinen: piano, arrangements; Pertti Hurmalainen: bass, arrangements; Masa Orpana: saxophones; Mikko Välimäki: trumpet, flugelhorn; Jari Unha: drums.
There will be a buffet from the Lions Club Kaukajärvi Association in the interval. Limited number of places. Doors open at 2:30 PM. Free admission!
The event is organized by the City of Tampere's Public Cultural Services.
