Liina-Tango is a dramatic exploration of the textiles that touch our skin in everyday life. Particularly those cloths and fabrics that have been altered, crafted or personalised by their users often carry a significance far greater than their practical function. They play an important role in social interactions, emotional memories and personal well-being.
Time, skill and imagination have gone into making these textiles. Everyone has a cloth, fabric or textile object associated with special feelings. For a baby, it may be a comfort blanket. We wrap ourselves in them, adorn ourselves with them, and cherish our favourite fabrics. And the textiles speak, too!
