Lively September at Kortejärvi 2026

The event will take place on weekends in September, on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be plenty of relaxed activities and opportunities to spend time together. The cozy, wood-fired lakeside sauna is open daily.

• Sauna times: women’s sauna 12:00–14:00, men’s sauna 14:00–16:00

The weekend hosted by the Häme District of the The Finnish Nature Association (19–20 September) will feature mixed-gender sauna sessions open to everyone, with participants wearing swimsuits.

Sauna fee: 5 € / person. The café is open on weekends.

Most of the other activities are free of charge. Please remember to bring cash with you.

19–20 September 2026, Häme District of the The Finnish Nature Association (in Finnish)

• Strength in cooperation activity trail. Fun activities for children and information about cooperation between animals. (drop in anytime)
• Crafting. Create your own animal friend from natural materials and fill in a friendship book page about your creature companion. (drop in anytime)
• Animal quiz. Challenging animal-themed questions, including some for older participants. (drop in anytime)
• Information. Learn about the activities of the Finnish Nature Association (Luontoliitto) and its Häme district. Products for sale.

Saturday

• 11:30 and 15:00 Forest walk for families and soft toy friends. Enjoy a relaxed walk in the forest and explore nature together with your favorite soft toy. Duration 45 minutes.
• 13:00 and 16:00 Nature and animal songs. Join us in singing about animal friends and the wonders of nature with musician Josefiina Sinervo. Duration 30 minutes.

Sunday

• 11:30 Forest walk for families and soft toy friends. Duration: 45 minutes.

26–27 September 2026, Tunturikerho Kolbma Association (in Finnish)

• Outdoor gear flea market
• Make-your-own pancakes using ingredients provided by organizer
• Various tents, hammocks and hiking equipment will be on display, along with information about hiking destinations.
• Enjoy a night outdoors: Spend the night in the Kortejärvi farmyard in a tent, lean-to shelter or hammock in the company of experienced hikers. Accommodation provided by the Kolbma Hiking Club is also available. Advance registration for overnight stays in Kolbma accommodation: Erkka Ikonen, eikonen@iki.fi / +358 44 364 5505. Please register by 20 September 2026 at 21:00.

Saturday

• 12:00 Guided two-hour day hike. Departure from and return to Kortejärvi. The hike will take place if at least four participants register.
• 14:00 Lightweight hiking and hammocks, presented by Ari Grönlund
• 19:00 The event ends, but the Enjoy a night outdoors experience continues.

Sunday

• 9:00 Breakfast for Enjoy a night outdoors participants (additional fee applies)
• 12:00 Guided two-hour day hike. Departure from and return to Kortejärvi. The hike will take place if at least four participants register.
• 14:00 Lightweight hiking and hammocks, presented by Ari Grönlund.

Getting there

Kortejärvi Farm is located at Keltolahdentie 47, Tampere.

Directions: From the Viitapohja junction, follow Pulesjärventie for approximately 9 km. Then turn left towards Kortejärvi and continue for about 2.2 km. The parking area is also used by the Kintulammi hiking and nature reserve.
