The Children's Rights Week family event is intended for all children, the young at heart, and families of all sizes and backgrounds. Come and explore the activity stations set up by various organizations. Experience, see, and marvel with us! Let's make sure children are seen and heard! The event is free of charge and open to children and their families. The event offers a wide range of activities, things to see and experiences to enjoy. The activity stations are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a café at the event where you can buy snacks and drinks.
The theme of Children's Rights Week is the right to be heard – every child is welcome to attend our event with an adult!
The event will culminate at 2 p.m. with Hehkumahku's performance of The Sound of Dreams. Hehkumahku's participatory performance explores dreams and the courage to make them come true. Hehkumahku's clown characters Karkki-Kerttu and Ninni Nenätti set out to follow their dreams and encounter many challenges along the way! Dreams are blown into soap bubbles, and voices are sought for them. It is not always easy to believe in dreams, and it requires the clowns to throw themselves into adventure and face their own fears. Children get to cheer on and encourage the characters along the way. The performance includes clowning and tricks and culminates in a group dance!
The event is organized by the City of Tampere and the Pirkanmaa network of children's and family organizations.
