Recommended age: 10–99 years
Clothing: don’t forget to wear something that can get messy!
Languages of instruction: English, Finnish, and Czech
Come to the Children’s Culture Centre Rulla (Cultural Centre Laikku) and experience painting in a completely new way!
No brushes? NO PROBLEM! We paint with anything that falls into our hands.
Bring anything you like, anything that inspires you, or something you simply want to try turning into art:
- Twigs – for natural strokes
- Coffee grounds – for deep tones
- A cloth – for wild smudges
- Banana peel – because why not
- Broken eggshell – texture, crack crack
- Broom, mop – they won't stay in the corner!
- Bare hands – create art without tools
Bring anything you can think of: an old toothbrush, soaked newspapers, a root from the forest…
The main goal is to have fun and experiment.
If you just want to come and watch, you’re welcome too.
Price: Free for all brave souls! Paints and paper provided.
Come paint together and let your imagination flow. Bring the objects and materials you want to try.
Venue: Rulla, Cultural Centre Laikku, Tampere
This event is part of the accompanying program for the group art exhibition “Echoes of Two Homelands”, which can be visited at Gallery Laikku.
The experience is brought to you by Bohemia-seura ry, an association connecting Czechs and Slovaks living in Finland, together with Axamitum Moments Oy. The event is supported by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Finland, the Embassy of Slovak Republic in Finland, Rödl, and Vafo Group.
