RAP workshop

22.2.2026

12.00 - 14.00

Työväenmuseo Werstas, Väinö Linnan aukio 8, 33210 Tampere

Come and try writing and recording at a rap workshop!

The Bertel Hall at the Werstaan Workers' Museum will be transformed into a rap-making workshop! The workshop is suitable for all ages, and is guided by rap producer and DJ Aleksi "DJ Logout" Lemola.

At the recording station, participants can casually try out writing and recording raps. You can participate alone, with a friend or with your parents, and if you wish, your parents can also try making a rap. Several participants and groups can come up with ideas for rhymes and write at the same time, and you can record one at a time. There is paper and pens for writing.

The workshop instructor will help you with the work, and to make writing easier, there are topic ideas, ready-made rhyme pairs and other auxiliary materials, in addition to which the instructor can also present the texts on behalf of the participant. The finished products can be sent to the participants afterwards by email.

In addition to the recording station, there is a beat-making station in the room where quieter participants can try making beats (=hip hop instrumentals) with headphones on. The equipment is pre-loaded with style-appropriate sound banks that can be played using the buttons.

There is no need to register in advance for the workshop, admission is free. You are warmly welcome to join us!

The workshop is part of the program of Lasten Pirkkaset 2026 - Pirkanmaa Children's Culture Month.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Finlayson area, the Werstas Workers' Museum and Logout Oy.
