Outdoor film: The Beauty of Errors

The Ylöjärvi Museum will be setting the mood with an outdoor screening of the film on an August evening. Comfortable seating is guaranteed if you bring your own picnic chair! There are benches on site, of course.

A touching story about family, love and the difficulty of letting go.

The winds of change blow in Tero's life. His best friend Henri, his own son, finds a girlfriend by his side, and there is no longer room for four in the small cottage. The father and dog have to move into their own cabin, from which an exorcist must exorcise evil spirits. Loneliness and distance from his son cause Tero's life to falter and Henri to worry about his father's well-being.

Kappale kuuneistä Suomea tells the story of the family's internal dependencies, how they change and what the meaning of family is. The change is particularly reflected in Tero, who is forced to reflect on things he perhaps even takes for granted. The grandparents have always taken care of their sons, Tero and Henri. Heikki's hip problems and Pirjo's aging turn the situation upside down. At the same time, Tero has to face a painful reality: Henri is no longer a child. Tero must learn to let go and face the world alone.

The screening is free! The film will be shown outdoors, so please dress according to the weather. You can also bring your own picnic chair.

There are only a few parking spaces in the Ylöjärvi Museum area for those arriving by car. More parking spaces can be found in the Kauraslampi School parking lot (Kuusistontie), which is about 500 m away on foot. You can also get to Ylöjärvi Museum by bus, which is about half a kilometer away (timetables and route search: www.nysse.fi).
