Art Walk in South Hervanta - Come explore artworks on electrical boxes

Come along and explore the artworks painted on electrical boxes in South Hervanta last autumn!

We will take a walk of about two kilometres and visit eight artworks. The tour begins on Teekkarinkatu and ends by Lake Suolijärvi. The guiding languages are easy Finnish and, if needed, English.

The art walk route goes along the street network on paved sidewalks and pedestrian/cycling paths. The nearest tram stop is Hervannan kampus. The starting point can be reached by car, and there are public accessible street‑side parking spaces in the area. There are no stairs along the route. There are uphill sections on Mekaniikanpolku, Kemiankatu and Suolijärvenkatu. At street crossings, there are curbs, lowered at pedestrian crossings. Speech will not be amplified. The route runs through a residential area, and there are no large noisy roads along the way.

The tour follows safer space principles.

The photo exhibition More Alike Than Different, of the artworks, will be on display at the Laikku Cultural Centre’s Lobby Gallery (Keskustori 4) from 17 to 29 March 2026. Open Tue–Fri 9:00–20:00 and Sat–Sun 10:00–18:00. Welcome!
