At the Sauna Festival, you can take a sauna bath in over 30 different saunas, swim in Lake Kyrösjärvi, compete in the "vihta" making and water throwing championships, and enjoy a diverse program.
The traditional, annual Sauna Festival of the Sauna Association Löylynlyöjät is held annually on the third weekend of July on the shores of beautiful Lake Kyrösjärvi, in the surroundings of Villa Vihta, at the Toivolansaari camping area (address: Toivolansaarentie 3, Ikaalinen).
The 29th Sauna Festival will be celebrated in Ikaalinen on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, 2026.
On Friday, saunas are ready at 15:00. The band plays at 22:00.
On Saturday, saunas are ready at 12:00. The band plays at 22:00.
The venue will feature wonderful, different, fascinating portable saunas, as well as hot tubs, vendors of various products and treatment providers.
In addition to sauna bathing in over 30 different saunas and swimming in the lake Kyrösjärvi, the program includes, among others: "vihta"-making championships and throwing-water-on-the-sauna-stones championships and awarding for smoke sauna and Sauna-Master champions. There is a special activity area and "festival-olympics" for children. The band playing on Friday night is Retropop, on Saturday Reginan vangit.
Admission to the sauna festival area and program is free. Sauna use requires the purchase of a sauna bracelet: Friday's sauna admission fee is 15 euros, Saturday's 20 euros. Children under 15 may use the sauna only when accompanied by a guardian.
