FREESTYLE MM aka MANSEN MESTARUUS is a legendary concept where freestyle rap skills are put to the test in Tampere. Contestants rap about quirky topics given by the audience and the judges.
Kellari Cypher, first organized in 2015 has been one of the longest continuing hip hop culture events in Tampere.
The event involves local and nationally recognized live acts, skilled DJ's and talented producers as well as our premier freestyle show called Freestyle MM.
FREESTYLE MM aka MANSEN MESTARUUS is a legendary concept where freestyle rap skills are put to the test in a creative way via tasks and challenges.
Contestants rap off the dome about entertaining topics given by the audience and the judges—no repetetive dissing, but situations which cannot be prepared for. Pre written battle raps are of no use here. Anyone can participate, either by signing up in advance or grabbing the mic on the spot. Easy peasy.
Each event offers cash and product prizes for the most skilled improv poets. The top three are rewarded, and the rest drink beer. If you place in one of the preliminary rounds, you’ll qualify for the FINAL held at the end of the year—where the prizes, of course, are BIGGER.
