18.3.-22.3.2026 Rulla and the Whole World is a week full of events, art activities and performances. The events are part of the national Anti-Racism Week 2026
March 18–22, 2026 “Rulla and the Whole World” event week takes over Kulttuuritalo Laikku for the fifth time!
The event is part of the nationwide Anti-Racism Week. The program includes non-verbal theatre, fairy tales in different languages, and art workshops, among other activities.
Program:
(RULLA) Wed 18 March, 4:30–6:00 pm The Whole World Story Tent (storytime begins at 5:00 pm):
At the storytelling session organized by the Tampere branch of MLL (Mannerheim League for Child Welfare), rhymes and fairy tales will be read in different languages. In addition, The Whole World Adventures paper doll workshop.
(RULLA) Thu 19 March, 9:00 am–12:00 pm Rulla’s Open Family Club
9:30–10:00 a.m. Rulla’s Fairy Tale Music workshop: Old MACDonald´s farm animals – How do animals sound in different cultures and what kind of animals live in the farm?
10.30-11.00 a.m. Musical instruments from around the world- workshop (directed by art educator Kari Lounela)
In addition, the event features short presentations on different cultures, Animal paperdoll workshop, world music, and treats from The Whole World Buffet.
(HAIHARAN KARTANO, Kaukajärvi) Fri 20 March, 3:00–6:00 pm Haihara Spring Carnival
Art workshops, music and dance performances, and a fashion show. Reissu-Rulla will join the festivities!
The carnival is a joint production of the ARMAS Festival and Anti-Racism Week.
(KULTTUURITALO LAIKKU & RULLA) Sat 21 March Laikku Spring Bazaar
Kulttuuritalo Laikku will be filled with fun spring-themed activities.
At Rulla (1st floor): Mini fair and The Whole World Adventures paper doll workshop
Lecture Hall (2nd floor): Arts and crafts market 1:00–4:00 pm
Music Hall (3rd floor), 2:15–3:00 pm: Puppet Theatre Annos presents HA-HA-HALTIJA!
A delightfully magical story about pursuing a dream. The performance is non-verbal and told through movement and music.
Recommended age: 3+
Also featuring the enchanting Flowing Linda light show.

Under the Waves – Baby Theatre Performance at 10:30 am & 12:30 pm
A fascinating underwater world unfolds a story about two seals and other sea creatures. In the water, they play, hide from storms, and drift in the cradle of gentle waves — and perhaps get lost for a while.
Welcome to experience a peaceful theatre moment filled with multisensory delights!
The performance is non-verbal.
Duration approx. 15 minutes.
