Discover the benefits of breathing: www.tuomastikka.com/science
Guided by conscious breathing, you will gently yet profoundly dive into the flow of your own breath. The session is practiced lying on your back on a comfortable mat, in a cozy and safe environment, under the experienced guidance of Tuomas Tikka.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
- For you, if you want to reduce stress, mental overload, and find clarity amidst everyday life.
- For you, if you want to release anxiety, mental noise, and find it difficult to slow down.
- For you, if you want to recover and sleep more deeply.
- For you, if you want to understand yourself better: to release old emotional imprints and trauma.
- For you, if you want to strengthen self-confidence and find a compassionate and gentle way of being yourself.
- For you, if you want more peace and balance in your nervous system.
- For you, if you are seeking meaning, direction, or a deeper connection to yourself — naturally and safely.
Guided conscious breathing helps you release tensions stored in the body, discharge accumulated emotional load, and clarify the mind. Deep breathing opens a connection to the subconscious in a way that brings into awareness what is ready to surface, heal, and transform.
During conscious breathing, the nervous system naturally calms, old emotional layers may release, the body softens, the mind clears, and inner peace and a sense of gratitude can strengthen.
Guided breathing, music, affirmations, and gentle space-holding create a container in which you can let go and fully surrender to your own process at your own pace. The session ends with deep relaxation supported by a soundscape that helps integration and a soft return back into the body.
This breathwork workshop is not based on goal-oriented, intense, fast-paced breathing techniques often used in some breathwork or conscious breathing events. Instead, the facilitation honors each participant’s natural rhythm, capacity, and the true state of their nervous system.
The breath is allowed to open and unfold at its own pace — sometimes deeper, sometimes softer — always listening to the body’s signals.
The experience can be deep, but it does not need to be intense or overwhelming. Every breath session is different, and intensity naturally varies from person to person. Tuomas facilitates and supports the breathing process using conscious touch, acupressure, affirmations, and posture adjustments when needed.
The breath journey is suitable for both first-time participants and those with prior experience. No previous experience is required — willingness to participate is enough.

FEEDBACK FROM PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS
“Tuomas’s breathwork workshop was an amazing experience for a first-timer. A completely new world opened up for me, and I gained a tool I carry with me at all times — my own breath. My shallow and tense breathing now flows more freely. The experience felt relaxing, safe, and like a wonderful break from everyday life.” — Camilla S.
“Love was clearly present, and it was a powerful experience.” — Arttu
“I would definitely recommend working with Tuomas, because breathwork can change your experience of the world. During breathing, something truly transformative happens.” — Anonymous participant
“My mind was in a chaotic state before the workshop, and it was wonderful how breathing became calming and my mind settled. It felt like if it had continued longer, I would have gone very deep into different realms. Afterward, I felt calm and good, and the following day went smoothly with no anxiety at all.” — Merja T.
“Very simple. Safe and relaxed workshop. The breathing technique itself isn’t difficult, but it can take you on a journey… who knows where. You can even participate while tired.” — Antti

Tuomas is an internationally trained and experienced conscious breathwork facilitator (Transformational Breath®), breath coach, breathwork facilitator, solution-focused somatic coach, men’s mentor, and registered nurse.
Transformational Breath is a globally recognized, professional, and trauma-sensitive breathwork method originating in California in the 1970s. The method integrates conscious connected breathing, somatic body awareness, safe and holistic process facilitation, and a deep understanding of nervous system regulation.
Tuomas has trained directly under the method’s founder Dr. Judith Kravitz in the USA and with some of the most experienced senior trainers in Europe and Asia, up to co-trainer level.
In Tuomas’s guidance, participants are held in a safe space to calm down, open up, and meet themselves. He meets each person respectfully, with presence, and according to their individual rhythm.
Tuomas is guided by a deep desire to help people strengthen their connection to themselves, their bodies, emotions, and inner wisdom — and to find clarity, depth, direction, and meaning in life, without forgetting wellbeing.
His facilitation style is calm, gentle, and clear, yet grounded, firm, and safely holding.
Is Conscious Breathing Safe?
The breathing technique used in this event is conscious connected breathing and is safe for most participants. Somatic breathwork is integrative and effective, and while it is often deeply relaxing and profound, it may lead to certain physiological changes as well as physical and emotional release.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN BREATHING
What is conscious breathing / breathwork?
Conscious breathing means gently directing attention to the breath and guiding it intentionally. It is a simple yet powerful way to calm the nervous system, increase presence, and restore connection to the body.
Conscious connected breathwork deepens this effect. It is a continuous, flowing breathing style that opens access to both the body and the subconscious. The breath acts as a non-judgmental mirror, revealing what needs attention and allowing everything to be present at its own pace.
Deep breathwork releases tension stored in the body and helps safely process old emotional experiences — including childhood wounds and trauma — within a supportive and held environment.
The practice naturally balances the nervous system and opens awareness, clarity, and inner space. Breathwork supports holistic wellbeing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels, gently and respectfully.
Researched Benefits of Conscious Breathing
Conscious breathing is scientifically shown to support overall wellbeing and healthy respiratory function.
Research indicates that conscious breathing practices can provide significant physical, emotional, and mental benefits, including:
- Reducing stress and anxiety
- Calming and balancing the nervous system
- Improving focus and mental clarity
- Releasing suppressed emotions, trauma, and tension from the body
- Increasing vitality by strengthening breathing muscles
- Supporting deep sleep and recovery
Many also experience a deeper connection to themselves, clearer life direction, strengthened intuition, and spiritual or mystical insights.
How Does Conscious Breathing Work?
Conscious breathing is a somatic practice using controlled, deep, connected breathing without pauses between inhalation and exhalation.
Effects on the body:
Conscious breathing regulates the autonomic nervous system, reduces sympathetic stress activation, and stimulates parasympathetic recovery. Increased diaphragm movement stimulates the vagus nerve, supporting the body’s calming regulation systems.
Effects on the mind:
Deep, continuous breathing influences brain function through the nervous system and can quiet the analytical, constantly evaluating mind. As cognitive load decreases, a calmer nervous system allows subconscious material to surface for conscious processing. Vagus nerve activation enhances inner stability and presence.
Effects on emotions:
The practice quiets mental noise and strengthens connection to inner experience. As the nervous system calms and attention shifts to the body, emotions and tensions can release naturally, strengthening self-connection and inner wisdom.
Conscious Breathing & the Subconscious
Conscious breathing quiets the analytical mind and shifts the nervous system into a state where subconscious material becomes more accessible. Emotions, memories, and insights can arise naturally, without force.
As mental noise subsides, a clearer connection to intuition and inner experience opens. Experiences may be deeply insightful, integrative, or increase a sense of connection to yourself — uniquely and differently each time.
Warmly welcome to breathe together! 🤍
