Program at the Sara Hildén Art Museum
At 18–22 Collage workshop (nonstop)
In this nonstop art workshop running throughout the evening, participants can create their own artworks using collage techniques. Collage is an inspiring method in which different materials are combined into one piece, and no prior experience is needed. All materials are provided by the museum. The workshop is suitable for all ages. Instructor: visual artist Inka Hannula.
At 19, 20, 21 Circo Aereo: Closed Eyes
This captivating performance leads the viewer from moment to moment as live visual art, acrobatic movement, and sensuous music intertwine into a magical world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Performers: visual artist Eveliina Hämäläinen, circus artist Mika Kaski, and singer-musician Katja Slotte. Director: Sanna Silvennoinen. Duration: approx. 15 minutes.
Circo Aereo is Finland’s first and longest-running contemporary circus group. Their artistic work and productions have played a central role in developing new circus into an independent art form in Finland and in the international breakthrough of Finnish contemporary circus in the 2000s. The group has performed in over 40 countries.
