Santtu-Matias Rouvali returns home and Bruce Liu makes his Tampere debut!



Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra’s Honorary Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali returns to lead the orchestra with a magnificent program. Rising star and Chopin Piano Competition winner Bruce Liu performs Frédéric Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto. Franz Schubert’s final orchestral work, the Great C major, is the last significant symphony of the Classical era, a masterpiece of heavenly scale, whose depth was recognised only decades later. 

*The concert will feature Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto as originally planned. The previously announced Grieg Piano Concerto is no longer included in the program.

Please note that the concert will be performed twice with the same program. The January 16 concert is included in the spring 2026 season series. The concerts include an intermission.
