International IVV Olympiads 2025
At the International IVV Olympiad 14-17.8.2025 everyone has a chance to get their own medal! The sports are walking (distances 5, 10, 20 and 42 km), cycling (20 and 40 km), swimming (300 m), canoeing and orienteering.
The International IVV Olympiads are a relaxed, joyful celebration of folksport, where everyone has the opportunity to earn their own Olympia medal! No time is taken or achievements are measured, but participants enjoy the joy of exercise in the beautiful scenery of Tampere. The Olympia village is located in the Central Square, where all walking routes leave and return daily. Cycling starts in front of Kauppi Sport Center and swimming in Kaukajärvi in front of the Uinti Tampere sauna. Canoeing starts from the shore of Kaupinoja and orienteering is done in the Kauppi forest. You can orientate with a larger group at a time of your choice during the Olympiads, the other sports are individual performances. The most spectacular event for the general public is on Thursday 14.8. The flag parade starts at 2 pm, followed by the opening ceremony at 3 pm, which is free for the public.
