Pispalan Sottiisi 2026 – a summer celebration of folk dance and folk music in Tampere on 10–14 June 2026. On Saturday 13 June 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00, the performance “I Need You” Folk Dance Around the City will take place.
In this joyful programme, dancers from multiple generations step onto the stage together. The groups in the programme curated by Siiri Suoniemi will perform their favourite choreographies while also joining forces and exploring each other’s repertoire.
Audiences will enjoy performances by Roihu, Kärri, Tärsky and Lykky from Karjalan Nuoret; Kuohu, Karuselli, Tyrsky and Viuhke from Klaukkalan Kansantanssijat; Huipakat, Himpulat, Tanhutatit, Säpinä and Hippuset from Lahden Tanhuujat; and Knypykät from Fikuleeri ry.
Expect a lively and diverse celebration of folk dance, where dancers of all ages bring their energy and talent to the stage. Welcome to experience the joy and community spirit of folk dance in the heart of Tampere!
