Finnish music with guitars and kanteles

Guitar and kantele players from the Pirkanmaa Music Institute and the Tampere Conservatory join forces in a warm-hearted concert of Finnish music. The concert will feature various guitar-kantele ensembles formed by students and teachers, from small groups to a large orchestra. The concert will include a wide range of music from folk songs to Sibelius, as well as Ilkka Hammo's relatively new work Talvisia kuvia for a large guitar-kantele orchestra. The orchestra will be conducted by Ilkka Hammo and the kantele group will be directed by Noora Laiho. Guitar teachers Pauli Litva, Pekka Siiskonen and Kasperi Leponiemi with their students will also be present.
