Matte solid texture

A matte solid structure is a joint exhibition by sculptor Laura Hokkanen and painter Janne Saarinen. The exhibition features recent works by the artist pair, in which paintings and sculptures come together to form doors, windows and keys that open the way for the fusion of two different realities.

Laura Hokkanen's sculptures are created from found materials. Their themes and forms draw inspiration from images that have recurred in human culture around the world.

Janne Saarinen uses his imagination to create layered paintings that deal with the ambiguous relationship between human experience and reality.

The exhibition is free of charge. Exhibition is open until 31.8. from Monday to Friday 10 am. - 7 pm.

Accessibility information: Gallery 2 is quite accessible, it is located at street level in connection with the Pirkkala Main Library. There is a disabled toilet in the hallway.
