IDA SÄLVE - After Wonderland 

The After Wonderland exhibition depicts the course of life from the wonderland of childhood to the chaotic world of adulthood. Life consists of different stages that shape us along the way. The transition from childhood to youth and from there to adulthood involves many experiences. The exhibition deals with these stages brought by age and the artist's experiences, as well as views on them.

The innocence and imagination of childhood change through the emotional storm brought by youth to the learning of adulthood. Although everyone's life is individual and everyone experiences their own challenges, I feel that certain experiences are universal and relatable to everyone. 

The interpretation relies on surreal and expressive expression. The works in the exhibition were created with acrylic paints in 2026.

Ida Sälve is a Finnish visual artist born in 2000 who graduated from Kankaanpää Art School, which is part of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, in 2025. Before Kankaanpää, she studied at Kymenlaakso College in 2019-2020, specializing in visual arts. She also completed her upper secondary school diploma in visual arts in 2019. Sälve specializes in painting and uses acrylic paints as her technique. The nature of the expression is surrealistic and expressive. The purpose of her work is to open eyes and present the world from new and different perspectives, as well as to express difficult and uncomfortable feelings in a new light. Sälve's creative process is born through intuition and broad imagination, from which he creates his paintings.

The exhibition will be on display at HAY Second Hand from 2.8. to 28.8.2026 at Aleksanterinkatu 17, Tampere.

The exhibition is free of charge and open during the store's opening hours. 

We will be holding an exhibition opening open to everyone on Saturday 8.8. from 5-7 pm.
