A free concert and singing event will be held in the square in front of Kangasala House, at Kuohunharjuntie 6, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 5–7 p.m.

Welcome to the joint singing led by Kai Jämsä and the free concert of Puolikuu!

The free concert and joint singing event will be held in the square in front of Kangasala House, at Kuohunharjuntie 6, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 5–7 p.m. Kai Jämsä will have the audience sing along to classics familiar to everyone, after which the Puolikuu band will perform on stage. The event is free of charge, age-free and accessible.

The Puolikuu band has made a spectacular comeback to records and gigs. The band came back to life six years after the passing of the band's original singer and composer. The band now features Kai Jämsä, a singer-songwriter familiar from the original lineup, and Luri Luokkala, who has been playing in Puolikuu for the past ten years.

Puolikuu's singer and guitarist Kai Jämsä is also known for his long solo career and numerous compositions - for example, the songs ''Preussinpunaista'' and ''Haavoittumaton'' written for Yönlintu are his work. Kai has already published over 500 compositions. Luri Luokkala, in turn, is remembered as the founder of the Clifters band and a distinguished producer.

The event is part of Kangasala's participatory budgeting.
