Art bike tour

The theme of National Cycling Week in 2026 is art. The Tampere Region Cyclists Association (Tampereen seudun polkupyöräilijät ry) and the City of Tampere’s Mobility Mindshift project are organizing a free art bike tour open to everyone during Cycling Week on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The group will meet and depart from the fountain at Tampere’s Central Square (Keskustori). The tour lasts 1.5 hours and ends at Hiedanranta. No advance registration required.

On the art bike tour, you’ll learn more about Tampere’s public art and, in particular, the graffiti in Hiedanranta. You must bring your own bicycle and bike helmet. It’s also a good idea to bring a water bottle. The tour guides will first go over safety instructions for group cycling. The tour is suitable for cyclists of all skill levels, and the pace will be adjusted so that everyone can keep up. The art bike tour is conducted in both Finnish and English.
