Panel Discussion: LGBTQ+ Families Then and Now
Part of the Manse Pride 2025 Program
Join us for a thought-provoking panel on the history and present-day realities of LGBTQ+ families and paths to parenthood.
The discussion will be moderated by Mico Ylimäki (Sinuiksi ry). Panelists include Juha Jämsä (Sateenkaariperheet ry), Satu Lehtinen (Adoptioperheet ry), and Satu Moilanen (Simpukka ry).
This event is organized by Sinuiksi ry as part of the official Manse Pride program.
LGBTQ+ people have long shared the dream of starting families—just like anyone else. But what has that journey looked like in the past? Is it easier today? What societal challenges still exist, and what opportunities are now available for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples to become parents?
You’re warmly invited to join us for a panel full of personal stories, insights, and reflections on the joys and challenges of building families under the rainbow.
