Rainbow History Walk

In honor of Manse Pride Week, Sinuiksi ry is organizing two rainbow history-themed walks. The walks start on Tue 10.6. and Fri 13.6. at 6:00 PM from Laukontori. The walk lasts approximately 1.5 hours, ending at Otavalankatu. Participation in the walks is free of charge.

Accessibility of the venue and movement: The starting point Laukontori is accessible without barriers. The route follows the street network, on sidewalks and in park areas, as well as dirt roads/paths. There are no stairs along the route. There are traffic barriers at the street crossings, lowered at pedestrian crossings. In Hämeenpuisto, the route between Satamakatu and Kauppakatu is uphill. Route: Laukontori – Satamakatu – Hämeenpuisto (park dirt road) – Kauppakatu – Frenckelli via the bridge to Koskipuisto (where there is also a dirt road) – Hatanpää highway – Otavalankatu.

Accessible parking space: There are some public accessible (streetside) parking spaces near the starting point Laukontori and the finishing point Otavalankatu, but their availability cannot be guaranteed. You can participate in the event with an assistant and/or guide dog. During the event tour, the speech will be announced through a portable loud speaker. The route mainly takes you through smaller streets and the park, but there may be more traffic noise, especially in the Hämeenpuisto and Hatanpää highway areas.
