Peace and the Nature of Pirkanmaa Resonate in Pirkanpojat’s Mother’s Day Concert
The award‑winning boys’ choir Pirkanpojat from Tampere will perform at Aleksanteri Church on Mother’s Day, 10 May 2026 at 15:00. The concert, dedicated to mothers, will feature male‑voice serenades as well as songs about peace and the natural beauty of Pirkanmaa. The programme also includes pieces from the choir’s performance tour in Germany earlier in February.
The event will open with the training ensemble Concentus, after which pianist Ville Hautakangas will accompany the boys’ choir and its own soloists.
– Pirkanpojat’s Mother’s Day concert is dedicated to spring, to mothers and to peace. This feel‑good concert for the whole family will present a wide range of choral music along with Mother’s Day poetry, says Artistic Director Jouni Rissanen.
Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster Finland’s website and at the church door from 14:00 on the day of the concert. Seats are unreserved, so it is advisable to arrive in good time. The narrated concert lasts approximately one hour.
