Harri Kuusijärvi Trio

Harri Kuusijärvi Trio released their new album Aallot (Flame Jazz Records, 2025) at the end of January. The electronically expanded accordion developed by Kuusijärvi, an accordion artist who has been nominated for the Emma and Teosto awards, brings a new instrument into the whole. Kuusijärvi will be accompanied by leading names in Finnish jazz music, bassist Jori Huhtala and drummer Mika Kallio. Kuusijärvi's vision has been to combine the expanded accordion with a simplified, acoustic jazz rhythm section. The result is minimalist, northern, earthy and groovy electro-acoustic music that is hard to compare.

Emilia Sisco

Emilia Sisco is a Finnish-Zambian singer and songwriter, known for her powerful voice and ability to combine soul, jazz and blues. Her debut solo album Introducing Emilia Sisco (2024) has received widespread acclaim from critics and listeners around the world. Emilia's music is often described as timeless yet modern, and she draws inspiration from soul icons such as Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Billie Holiday, while also bringing contemporary twists to traditional soul and R&B elements.

The event is easily accessible by public transport, bike and on foot. The nearest parking areas are the Ylöjärvi City Hall and Räikänpuisto parking areas. Jazz Fair

The event ends after the performances, but you can enjoy more jazz across the road at the Jazz Fair at 9 pm in Ylöjärvi Church. There will be a warm atmosphere in the dimly lit church and a music-filled mass with the gentle tone of the saxophone. Communion will be served at the mass and you will be able to sing hymns together with jazz arrangements.
