A joyful and communal demonstration for a good and dignified old age. We will gather for a procession on Koskikatu, from where we will walk along Hämeensilta via Keskustori to Laikunlava for the program.
This joyful and communal demonstration brings together people of all ages to Hämeenkatu in Tampere to march for a good and dignified old age and better services for the elderly. The march is organized by volunteers and is non-partisan. In addition to Tampere, the march will take place in almost 30 locations around Finland this year!
We will start gathering for the procession on Koskikatu at 1:30 PM. The procession will start at 2:00 PM over Hämeensilta, through Keskustori Square to the Laikunlava stage for the program. The program on the Laikunlava stage will start approximately 2:30-2:45 PM.
Laikun stage program:
- The Rientola Setlementi horn band welcomes you to Laikun
- Interview with Outi Mäenpää, founder of the Rollatormarss
- Opening speech by Tampere Mayor Ilmari Nurminen
- Celebration speaker - to be revealed later
- Positive music and chair yoga
- Samba dance performance
