How to – textiles and creativity brings together different perspectives on making, expertise and thinking in the textile industry. During the day, there will be talks on pattern design and local production, shared workspaces and the historical and current meanings of rugs. Petri Juslin, founder of Seriöösi, Pirita Lauri of Välitila Studio and rug expert Sonja Tanskanen will each open up from their own position what textile making and creativity mean today.

Seriöösi is a design company that believes in local production and high-quality pattern design. The story and philosophy of Seriöösi will be highlighted in a half-hour impulse by the company's founder Petri Juslin. Before Seriöösi, Petri worked at Marimekko for 35 years, in expert positions in pattern design and printing technology. Petri has also shared his expertise by lecturing and teaching at educational institutions in the field since 2003.
