At 6 PM L. Don Ōkami
L. Don Ōkami is the nom de banjo of Don Lupo, a native of South Carolina who has since become a native of Tampere via Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Ireland. Don has been playing Americana for over 50 years and clawhammer banjo for nearly 40 years. After years of focusing on traditional folk music in the southern US, he has begun to explore combinations of traditional folk music, drones, noise and banjo through loops, effects and collaborations. His first solo album “Judgement Day in Pyynikki” was released in 2018 and his next album “Banjo Machine Music” is expected to be released in 2025.
At 7 PM Kuollut Piimä
Kuollut Piimä is a duo from Tampere that deconstructs and pokes at the world. The drum machine rattles and the instruments distort alongside pop melodies. Sour milk (piimä) is sour in taste and thicker in texture than milk. The only thing thicker is the atmosphere.
Note! At 6 PM, Luova Laura was originally scheduled to perform, but unfortunatelly she had to cancel.
