Rakas Tampere: Trade through the ages guided tours (IN FINNISH) tell the story of Tampere's trade and merchants, as well as a little bit of the present day. The guided tour is free of charge.
Do you know what Tampere's main street used to be, how money was transported in Tirkkonen's shop, where Laukontori got its name and how many bricks were used to build the Market Hall? NOTE! The tour is in Finnish
Dear Tampere: Trade through the ages -guided tours tell the history of Tampere's trade and merchants and a little bit of the present day on summer Tuesdays for eight weeks. The guided tour is completely free of charge for participants. The Tampere Tunnetuksi ry provides guidance for participants.
The guided tour by Tampere tourist guides lasts 90 minutes. The tour departs from Laukontori and during the guided tour you will visit both Tampere's Market Hall and the Market Square. The tour ends at Tampere Central Market. The tour will cover a distance of about a kilometer at a leisurely pace and will climb a few stairs.
