Laikku and the whole world -Cultural festival 2025

Laikku and the whole world -Cultural festival will be celebrated for the third time on Saturday, June 7th. The event, which celebrates the diverse culture of Tampere, will fill Laikunlava and Kirjastonpuisto with music, dance, and art!

Performers at the event:

Uniâo da Roseira - A rhythmic and colorful samba show invites on a journey to hot Brazil and draws you into an energetic carnival atmosphere.

Saïsba - The music of this Afro-fusion band blends West African traditions with Afrobeat, rock, funk, jazz, and Latin rhythms.

Banda Caribe Helsinki - The band plays traditional Cuban boleros, popular hot Latin hits, danceable lively timba, and romantic bachata.

Kanzashi - A band of three Japanese women performing captivating chanson and film music accompanied by a barrel organ.

The event will be hosted by journalist, DJ, and activist Renaz Ebrahimi.

Participants in the event's market area will be: Tampereen ukrainalaisten yhdistys Suomessa ry, Ukraina Talo, artisan Hilton Marowa, Lähi-idän naisten yhdistys, Äetsän Seudun Kehitysmaaseura ry., henna artist Tahmina Akter, Hola Tampere, Tampere-Tartto-Seura, Tampere Intercultural Art, Bloom ry., artisan Atkia Waseka Rahman and Hengaa täällä -project.

There will also be foor vendors, KorentoArt's characters, art workshops for children and Art Live -programme by Somana ry.

Food vendors will be announced in late May.
