Lunchtime music - Henna Nieminen: The song is made of sorrows

Gospel musician and alto singer with a beautiful voice Henna Nieminen performs comforting tunes, soulful hymns and music for longing. The Tampere parishes Kuolevainen event series will explore death and grief through art and spirituality in the fall of 2025. Nieminen will be addressing these themes in her November lunch concert. 

Henna Nieminen is an expressive professional musician. She is a church musician by training, but currently works as a freelancer as a gospel musician and a hospital and care musician. She has previously released three albums and is currently working on her fourth. She was seen in the 14th season of The Voice of Finland.

The dark-toned alto singer takes the listeners of Aleksanteri Church's lunch music to devotional tunes on the theme of All Saints' Day, without forgetting hope, accompanying herself on the piano. The program includes both sad music and comforting works that draw from the longing for heaven. Lunch music can be a moment for you to remember your deceased loved ones, and at the same time, music can at its best nurture and articulate thoughts and feelings related to loss.
