Lupine removal volunteering

Join us in removing lupine from Iidesjärvi, Nekala. Invasive species threaten the diversity and take up space from local species - let's make more space for a diverse flora!

When: Thursday 4.6. at 17-19

The event is free to join. At the end we offer snacks, provided by the city of Tampere.

Sign up at least two days before the event, so we can estimate the correct amount of food.

Where: The Nekala rug washing spot, 33800 Tampere (61.483122° N, 23.806020° E). Take a turn towards the small road leading to the lake at the crossing of Nekalantie and Kuokkamaantie.

You will need: Weather appropriate clothing and shoes, gloves if you want them. We recommend a shovel for digging. We recommend long sleeved clothing to protect you from tics and the sun. Remember to bring water!

We provide: Snacks for the people who signed up. We also have some extra shovels and gloves.
