What can we learn from the Moomins about democracy?

Imagine a democracy that looks like Moominvalley. Can we dream of a gentle society through the Moomins? What kind of community models do you recognise from the Moomin books? Is the involvement of the Hattifatteners unspoken? Do we need The Park Keeper rules? The panel discussion will ponder what we can learn from the Moomins about democracy. The event is organized in cooperation with the Imagine, Democracy! project of the University of Tampere. Panelists include author Emmi Itäranta, author and literary researcher Maria Laakso and PhD researcher Esko Suoranta.
